To me, a true athlete is a believer. They believe they can accomplish what most feel is not possible. That belief is what gets them through all of the obstacles that ultimately make them stronger. Stronger mentally. Stronger physically.

I have been an athlete my entire life. Being an athlete has taught me so many lessons. It has given me so much strength. The strength to play 10 years of professional soccer. The strength to fight kidney disease through dialysis until I could land a new kidney. The strength to start and maintain a business. The strength to co-parent a beautiful 3 year old boy. Whatever the challenge has been, being an athlete helped me to develop the habit of waking up every day with belief. The belief that I could be better today than I was yesterday. The belief that whatever is in front of me, I can push right through it. Do I always, no. But that belief makes me give it my all. Every. Single. Time.

That is why #IAMNOBULL.
