I’ve had some real highs and lows over the years in CrossFit®. And yet, I wouldn’t change a thing. The highs were what everyone dreams about: the podium picture, the highlight reel, the smiles, the validation. But for me, the lows were what truly got me there: rehabbing injuries, struggling through training, missing out on a goal by just the tiniest margin. Learning to pick myself up after a setback kept me humble. Persevering through frustrating times gave me grit. Failing taught me that everything worth having must be earned.
Life throws obstacles in everyone’s way, but how you manage those challenges determines how high you’ll rise back up. Getting knocked down is just part of the ride!
I may bend, but I’ll be damned if you see me break.
